## Describe your role at Sumo Logic

I’ve been at Sumo Logic as a Commercial Pursuit Solutions Engineer for just over seven months now. I work
with our Account Executives to provide technical support throughout the sales cycle. Our goal is to understand
customer pain points, demonstrate the capabilities of Sumo Logic, and support customers in the POV process to
help them prove the value Sumo Logic can provide for their organization.

## What do you like most about your job?

I love the aspect of collaboration. Not only do I have the opportunity to work with customers and other
teams across Sumo Logic, but every Solutions Engineer has been more than willing to offer a helping hand. This
collaboration allows us to learn quickly from each other and created an environment where I never hesitate to
 ask for support.

> “I’m surrounded by a great group of women on our SE team, in leadership roles, and across the
> organization. They all exemplify confidence and passion. Their example has empowered me to voice my
> opinion and take initiative to pursue opportunities that interest me in my professional career.”

## What parts of our mission and/or values do you most connect with?

In my prior role, I manually dug through logs with siloed tools, and we had a reactive approach to
infrastructure monitoring. When I first used Sumo Logic during my interview process, I knew it was a valuable
platform that would have saved me a ton of time. I was excited about the many problems Sumo could solve and
continue to connect with our mission to be the leading SaaS analytics platform for reliable and secure
 cloud-native apps.

## What have been your proudest accomplishments while at Sumo Logic?

My proudest accomplishment to date is supporting my first sales opportunity from start to close. Much of my
time at Sumo Logic has been spent learning all of the technical capabilities, setting up data collection, and
building content in my own environment. It was exciting that the time spent learning enabled me to successfully
show a customer the value of Sumo for their specific use cases.

Some of Beth’s favorite things – her family, dog, traveling and Ohio State University!## Name a role model or person who inspires you.

My dad. He inspires me to be selfless, hard-working, and forward-looking, always prioritizes loved ones,
and reminds me to smile more often.

## Best advice ever received?

> The secret to success is to never give up.

I got this little quote in a picture frame
when I was about 12 years old. As cheesy as it may be, it always comes to mind when facing challenging
 situations.

## What’s your favorite thing about working at Sumo?

The people. I’m surrounded by intelligent and passionate people here at Sumo. It excites me to get
 involved
with different teams and initiatives because of this aspect. Everyone is open, honest, and personable.
 It
creates a sense of belonging and makes for a fantastic company culture.

## How have you grown professionally during your time at Sumo?

With the technology ecosystem growing and changing rapidly, I’ve been challenged to learn something
 new
almost every day. The security space was new to me, so I’ve learned a lot about security tools,
 integrations,
threat detection and investigations. I’ve also learned a lot about OpenTelemetry as we continue to adopt
 this
collection method. The nature of the Solutions Engineering role has allowed me to continue to grow from
 a
 technical perspective.

Additionally, I’ve been surrounded by a great group of women on our SE team, in leadership roles,
 and
across the organization. They all exemplify confidence and passion. Their example has empowered me to
 voice my
opinion and take initiative to pursue opportunities that interest me in my professional career.

## Share one thing that your co-workers don’t know about you.

I love going to concerts! I went to 11 concerts last year, and I can’t wait for the next one!
