What a pleasure it was to see many of our customers at our Illuminate user conference, September 11-12. We had record attendance from customers, influencers, and partners. Our time was packed with keynotes, customer presentations (35 customer breakout sessions), certifications, sharing best practices, and time networking and having fun together.

The entire experience solidified for me that the category we’re building with our customers and partners — Continuous Intelligence — is now firmly entrenched. There’s no going back – not if you want to thrive in what is fast becoming a new economy for all of us — The Intelligence Economy.

The Intelligence Economy represents a redefinition of value and competitive advantage coming from the transition we’re making together to close the intelligence gaps created by old, enterprise analytics tools and software business models. As a community, we’re choosing a different approach, the adoption of a Continuous Intelligence platform, because it mirrors the operational and economic models of cloud computing and modern applications to provide the insights you need across diverse use cases from a single, cloud-native platform.

In my keynote (video below), I shared five major challenges of this continuous world we live in: 1) the pressure to speed software releases; 2) the desire for greater choice in the technologies and we use and technology/solution providers; 3) the constant need to tame the data tsunami; 4) the frustration of being shackled by old pricing and packaging models; and 5) the realization that innovation depends on frictionless, cross-functional collaboration. These challenges represent intelligence gaps that need to be addressed, which we’re doing through the industry’s first and only Continuous Intelligence Platform. Check it out, along with some big announcements we made to help our customers continue to close intelligence gaps, including:
