Organizations are constantly trying to maintain pace with users’ expectations and desires from a digital experience. These users expect an experience that constantly changes based on their preferences and behavior, which means innovating quickly and improving software is critical to user happiness and driving business success.

Cloud native technologies like SaaS, microservices, serverless and APIs, coupled with DevOps methodology enable companies and their development teams to scale efficiently while deploying frequent updates to the software and infrastructure that customers want.

### Cloud technology with AWS – Graviton2 and Lambda

To help organizations keep pace, AWS recently launched their 2nd generation AWS Graviton processor – Graviton2 – as a new architecture for AWS Lambda, their serverless compute service that lets you run code without the administration burden. With Graviton2, customers with cloud native workloads can create and run AWS Lambda functions, with improved price and performance. AWS Lambda functions powered by AWS Graviton2 processors offer up to a 34% price performance improvement over x86-based Lambda functions.

### Sumo Logic Support for Graviton2

With Sumo Logic and AWS’s ongoing partnership, supporting AWS Lambda’s new architecture from day one has been essential to provide full visibility into the application. Sumo Logic’s new AWS Lambda extension with support for Graviton2 gets you instant visibility into the health and performance of your AWS Lambda logs by analyzing function, platform, and extension logs to quickly identify and remediate errors and exceptions. This extension will also work with container images that are packaged and deployed as AWS Lambda functions that run on Graviton2. ### Comprehensively monitor all your Lambda functions

In addition to using the above extension, the [Sumo Logic AWS Observability solution](https://help.sumologic.com/Observability_Solution/AWS_Observability_Solution) monitors and analyzes operational and performance trends for Lambda functions created with container images along with all other Lambda functions.

This is done by analyzing Lambda logs and metrics available in AWS CloudWatch as well as Lambda audit logs from AWS CloudTrail logs in a single pane of glass with intuitive navigation across AWS accounts and regions.

With Sumo Logic AWS Observability, you get an aggregate view of how all of your AWS Lambda functions are performing along with detail into top users and services invoking functions. Then, easily drill down into specific functions for analytics such as errors, invocations by function, and top callers.
