Sumo Logic’s security team is thrilled to be named a Visionary in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) report. We are honored to be recognized for the second year in a row as a Visionary, which we feel reflects our Completeness of Vision and our Ability to Execute. We strongly feel our placement in the Visionaries quadrant echoes the innovation and investments we’ve made and the value our customers derive from our cloud-native security platform.
SecOps and DevOps unification
In addition to this recognition for Sumo Logic’s Cloud SIEM, Gartner also recently named Sumo Logic a Challenger in the 2022 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring and Observability report. Sumo Logic unifies SecOps and DevOps via a single cloud-native platform that ensures application reliability and protects against modern threats. Being one of just five vendors that appear in both Magic Quadrant reports mirrors what Sumo customers are seeing. The convergence of the security and application performance domains—where data and telemetry are being collected to understand attack patterns—can also be used to optimize an organization’s application reliability.
Sumo Logic’s Threat Labs and SOAR enhancements
We believe this recognition comes as Sumo Logic is focused on delivering expanded services and tools to help customers modernize security operations and achieve greater cyber-resilience. This includes the recent unveiling of Sumo Logic Threat Labs, a threat research and security detection unit designed to deliver a continuous stream of deep detection content, rapid response guidance, and actionable best practices to our Sumo Logic security customers.
We also believe that our recognition in this report benefitted from our CrowdStrike-powered threat intelligence feed that’s included with our Cloud SIEM at no additional charge, along with our integrated SOAR functionality from our DFLabs acquisition last summer. These provide additional visibility into the latest threats and let customers automate security tasks and save time by eliminating the need to deploy and connect a separate SOAR tool.
